8K Streaming Viability - Cloud Rendering & Distributed Delivery
We streamed 8K 10bit content at 150 Mb/s. It came out visually lossless.
HEVC, VVC, AV1 — all three, indistinguishable at production quality. Which means the codec is no longer the conversation. Infrastructure is.
If a stream can carry finished pixels to a venue reliably, the media server stops being a compositor. The cloud becomes the render farm. Distributed teams get the same pipeline as a purpose-built arena. We have the numbers. Now we need the wall.
