The Queen's Jubilee
British music royalty celebrated the reign of Queen Elizabeth II in the Summer of 2012 with a Buckingham Palace concert featuring acts from throughout her 60-year-reign.
Our friends, Treatment Productions were approached by the BBC to create a series of large scale projections on the front facade of Buckingham Palace to accompany the concert. The event hosted some of the biggest names in music including Shirley Bassey, Jools Holland, Jessie J, JLS, Elton John, Annie Lennox, Grace Jones, Madness, Paul McCartney, Kylie Minogue, Cliff Richard and Stevie Wonder.
As technical consultants our first assignment was to calculate the projector positioning as well as the hardware requirements. To cover the palace in light it required 36 x 20K Barco HD projectors.
disguise provided the video mapping and playback for video on the Palace. The show as a whole was directed by show designer Durham Marenghi, with architectural lighting provided by Neg Earth.

A laser scanner was used to create a highly accurate 3D model of the building and then prepared by 3D modeler and artist Nils Porrmann in order to set up the d3 stage, providing Treatment Studio with a content template to work on.
