To represent this concept, we captured the tracking data of live choreography, then processed this in real-time through creative and generative graphics created in Notch, which were projected back onto the dancer and his environment.
As part of a diverse and highly skilled team directed by Chris Turner, dandelion + burdock were responsible for designing and implementing the real-time content that was projected behind and onto the performer. Tracking data was captured live by Target 3D, which we then manipulated in Notch, before being passed downstream and integrated for projection by our frequent partners and collaborators at bild studios.
All this had to happen with minimal delay to allow the graphics to keep up with the dynamic movements choreographed by Mark Jennings. The film was shot by long-term friend of the studio and master DOP James Medcraft.
The entire commercial was captured in camera in real-time with no post-fx applied.
