Astana

In the Summer of 2015 Kazakh President Nazarbaev and the Ministry of Culture commissioned a show to celebrate the 550th Anniversary of the Kazakh Khanate.

Held in the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana, the lavish live show was designed to capture the visual and emotional history of the “Eternal Country”. Competing with a very tight deadline production company Balich Worldwide Shows produced the event that involved 5000 strong cast played by the best actors and dancers of the nation.

We were brought in as technical consultants which included setting up the disguise project and creating a previsualisation. PRG, the technology provider, could the use this setup for their projector planning.

We also provided content template planning for Partizan and Creative Director Kate Dawkins.

We also visited the venue in Astana so that we could supervise the projector install. The event required 40 projectors with 26 individual feeds all of which needed calibration.

This outstanding ceremony took place at the newly-built Barys Ice Arena in Astana for an exclusive audience which included the Presidents of fellow countries.
